Rheingau Dry Riesling 2011 Prinz von Preussen

Rheingau Dry Riesling 2011 Prinz von Preussen

Rheingau Dry Riesling 2011 Prinz von Preussen

Back in the Stone Age, when German wine was all the rage, one knew all the great wines of Germany by name. And as recollection goes, there were only two! Both featured in TV commercials, usually with an actor waiting for the doorbell to ring. But dark turrets and hypothermic nuns aside, German wine has come on seriously since. And as this here impressively dry Riesling bears out, a more up-to-date dawn has arrived; give this a try and all memories of the past will be gone.

The bouquet of the wine is rich with hints of fresh, green apples and apricots. On the palate the wine shows strength, refinement and marvellous aromas. A refreshing, hearty Riesling, which is a good companion for fish dishes, vegetables and cheese.
